MAEVE NEVINS-LAVTAR

PMBIA Level 1 Coach

Youth & Women's Bike Coach

Freeski & Steep Ski Coach

AIARI Level II Avalanche Certified

Professional Trail/Land Planner

Maeve began competitively biking in 1990 as a high school road bike racer to compliment her off-season alpine ski race training.  After moving to Crested Butte, CO for college, she quickly upgraded her skinny tires for knobby mountain bike wheels in pursuit of high alpine wildflower lined trails. After moving to Alaska in 2012, she made a career out of “riding the talk”, merging her contagious passion for biking as a park planner, helping to create a destination trail network inclusive of purpose-built flow downhill trails and most recently "Ben's Bike Playground" in Chugiak, AK. After dabbling in the exuberant cult of single-speed mountain bike racing, she realized her heart is most fulfilled when empowering other riders. With over a decade of specialty coaching with youth and women riders, she's excited to be spreading her riding stoke with Mountain Flow Riders.

MARTIN ANDREWS

PMBIA Level 1 Coach

WFA - Wilderness First Aid

PSIA / AASI Snowsports Instructor

Marty's love of two wheels began by riding dirt circles into his Seattle backyard as a 5-year old. He's been wrenching on bikes and adventuring ever since.  In his early teens at Stevens Pass, a dedicated mentor and ski coach introduced Marty to the rewards of teaching. Marty first visited North Idaho for a bike race in the late nineties and moved to Sandpoint in 2002, instructing at Schweitzer in the winter and guiding bike tours in the summer. Now approaching 30 years of instruction experience, Marty’s progression-based training methods and passion for teaching helps riders reach their full potential. Guided by his love of sharing adventures with others, he is looking forward to furthering your adventures with Mountain Flow Riders!
